Mother's Day

Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs in the world. This all-important job comes with little or no training...

There's no license or degree to certify that
you are properly educated and skillfully
prepared to do the job.

Unlike most careers, motherhood is one full
of emotional ups and downs. No one is
more important than those you are in charge
of. Every mistake, slip-up, or decision can
have you wondering and second guessing
yourself, your motives, and your expertise.
You may long for peace and instead get pouting and rebellion.

When difficult times seem overwhelming
and you wonder whatever possessed you to
become a parent in the first place,
remember...the answer is love.

It's love that will see you through every
heartache and worry. Love will soothe,
kiss, and hug away fears and sadness.
It's love that is balanced with discipline
and caring, humor and responsibility, love
that can say no when it's the best answer
and yes whenever possible. This kind of
love never disappears, even when everything
else seems to, because the love of a
mother is the only kind guaranteed to be
unconditional and never-ending.

I copied this straight from my Mom's Mother's Day card :) I thought it was a BEAUTIFUL poem for a beautiful mother. Thank you so much Mom for being such an amazing mother. God has truly blessed me with such a strong, fun, kind, beautiful, hard working, selfless (and much more) Mom. Thank you for always being there for me, through every stage of my life.

The beginning of your life as a Mommy

Me & my Mommy

And now the journey of being a Nana begins. After 2 long days in the hospital, and you not leaving my side, we welcomed Riley Jeremiah into the world on March 4, 2003 at 11:54 AM

On April 14, 2007 you were the mother of the bride.

After a scary delivery, and a huge surprise, you were right by my side as we welcomed Jack Douglas into the world on June 17, 2006 at 6:23 PM

You believed in me when I decided to go back to school to take Continuing Care.

...and a Nana again! We welcomed Parker Thomas into the world at 1:30 PM on September 24, 2009.

Nana's world...her grand"babies"

I love you so much Mom! I am so glad God picked you to me MY Mom and Nana to my boys. Happy Mother's Day! xoxoxoxoxoxox
